When you talk about who has real influence and power over the people you will find a whole list of rebels who made their own rules. Rules are set in place to dissuade the disenfranchised to rise up against the existing power structure. What happens when the people start to master themselves? One thing the Buddha, Malcolm X, Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr had in common is that they defied the rules by their very essence and by doing so were able to bend reality in their favor. There legacy will live forever in the hearts and minds of the people.
