English is a language of magical spells. Often times the people who promote their brand of English as the most official version imprint their bigotry, #racism, and prejudice onto the language they perpetuate. We already know that terms like "welfare recipient" "thug" and "gangster" are used to describe Black people when #racial slurs would be inappropriate for the social settings. What you may not know is that #new terms are being created and thrust into the lexicon to denigrate, marginalize, and demonize segments of the population. One new term, #ToxicMasculinity, is a derogatory term refering to Black men.
